Medical Insurance/Patient Collection Specialist

Ear, Nose & Throat SpecialtyCare of MN is a privately owned practice with a great insurance team.  We are seeking a reliable, energetic, responsible and professional individual to join this team in our Business Office which is located in Minneapolis.


Days:                M-F
Hours:              40 hours per week, 8:30a-5:00p – hours may vary depending on need
Benefit Eligible Position


  • Follows up on insurance claims
  • Responsible for filing electronic and paper primary and secondary claims daily
  • Corrects rejected and denied claims, resubmitting as needed
  • Maintains relationships with payers
  • Coordinates patient account collection activity by verifying insurance coverage, computing patients’ balances, and resolving outstanding bills
  • Assists in balance follow-up and answering billing questions

What we are looking for in a good candidate?

  • Two years of medical collection experience
  • One year of medical insurance background preferred
  • Knowledge of medical billing terminology
  • Coding knowledge preferred
  • Proficient on Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of managed care, commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and Worker’s Compensation regulations
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards

Physician Assistant – Certified

ENT SpecialtyCare of MN is seeking a Certified Physician Assistant who will play an integral role within our growing private Otolaryngology practice. This well-rounded position will encompass both medicine and surgery, as the Physician Assistant will perform in a clinic setting, in-patient setting and as a surgical first assistant. Previous experience in Otolaryngology is ideal but will consider all candidates including new graduates and those with other subspecialty experience. This position is located in the East Metro including St. Paul, Maplewood and Woodbury, but the applicant should be flexible to work at other locations.

  • Graduate from an accredited PA program
  • Master’s Degree required
  • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants

  • Provide high quality care by partnering with patients and demonstrating behavior that models and supports ENT SpecialtyCare’s service vision and philosophy.
  • Provide economical and effective patient care both independently and in conjunction with the physicians.
  • Encompass knowledge of current ENT evidence based medicine while conducting physical exams, ordering and interpreting laboratory and imaging studies, performing procedures, diagnosing and treating illnesses, prescribing medications, and counseling on preventative care both in a clinical and hospital setting.
  • Manage admission and consultation as well as provide preoperative and postoperative care.
  • Stay up to date with the latest clinical, professional and legislative trends as well as participate in activities that contribute to the education of other healthcare professionals.


The Minnesota Board of Medical Practice regulates the practice of the Physician Assistant. Physicians Assistants at ENT SpecialtyCare may collaboratively practice according to their own expertise, state licensure and ENT SpecialtyCare Policy and Practice Agreement. The Physician Assistant is responsible to the patients and families for quality of care rendered. This includes accountability to patients for standard of practice and making appropriate clinical decisions. Physician Assistants are accountable to the physicians of ENT SpecialtyCare.
